Himmler and The Holy Grail
The term sacred grail, sometimes written also gral, designates in French an old cup or dish and probably derives from the Latin medievalegradalis, meaning "flat", or from the Greek κρατήρ (kratḗr "vase"). In particular, according to medieval tradition, the Holy Grail, or Holy Grail, is the cup with which Jesus celebrated the Last Supper and in which Joseph of Arimathea collected the blood of Christ after his crucifixion.
Then he took the cup and, after giving thanks, he gave it to them, saying: "Drink them all, for this is my blood of the covenant, poured out for many, in remission of sins." (Matthew 26: 27-28)
The cup in question was carved in wood or made of white plaster or other type of limestone in which many cups of the first century after Christ were made.
Many are currently claiming that the Holy Grail is buried in Glastonbury (England), where he was brought by Joseph of Arimathea.
This version of the Grail dates back to 1202, when Robert De Boron inserted it into the poem "Joseph d'Arimathie", merging it with the Celtic myth of the cauldron.
The word grail also comes from the French writer Chretien de Troyes who wrote a novel called Perceval. The author died in 1190 AD before completing the work. In it, a young knight visits the castle of the Fisher King where he sees a strange procession in which there is a golden plate set with gems and called "grail". Various knights undertook the search for the Grail in stories related to the Arthurian cycle. Some of these stories feature successful knights, such as Percival or Galahad; others tell of knights who failed in the enterprise for their impurity, like Lancelot. In Wolfram's work, the Grail was saved in the castle of Munsalvaesche (mons salvationis) or Montsalvat, entrusted to Titurel, the first king of the Grail. Some have identified the castle with the Montserrat Monastery in Catalonia.
The relationship that binds the Templars to the knowledge of esoteric secrets or the existence of sacred relics of the reach of the sacred cup.The knightly order placed its headquarters at the second temple of Solomon (for this they were called Templars) and there they led of the excavations. This was enough to feed chronicles and narrations on finds of treasures of immense spiritual value such as the ark of the alliance, the sacred cup
Not all mortals will be able to reach the Grail, but only those who are heart-rending.
Over time it has taken different forms, we often find it in the form of a glass and then become a cup and finally a book.
The myth of the Grail has much more archaic roots of Christianity and is born, precisely, from the fusion of ancient legends present in many cultures.
With the term Graal, at first it was intended to give a name to an undefined supernatural object (Gradual or Gradal) that gave its owner immortality and regeneration.
The myth of the Holy Grail has come down to the present day: indeed, novels linked to it continue to come out and periodically we return to talk about the places where it could still be kept today. For example, there are places in France, Spain, England and even in our country. Among the most accredited Italian sites is Castel del Monte, near Andria (Bari)
